A couple of months ago I found a cute inspirational quote saying, “You can’t buy happiness, but you can buy makeup, which is kind of the same thing.” I am not a shopaholic but I truly support this statement. All those cute bottles with skincare products, colorful eye shadow palettes, red lipsticks, and cool brushes make me super happy every single day. What I love even more than putting my makeup looks together is scoring great makeup deals online. One of the sales that I wait for holding my breath is UltaBeauty’s 21 Days of Beauty sale event that starts on September 6th and runs until September 26th.
If you are not familiar with 21 Days of Beauty concept, it is a marathon of amazing deals on top rated makeup and beauty products. Each day during the course of 21 days sale, you can buy a product of the day at a very-very (I mean THE lowest) price you can find online. All of the beauty steals available during 21 Days of Beauty event are not random drugstore picks but rather highly rated hi-end products. I collaborated with People StyleWatch and Ulta to review four deals on 21 Days of Beauty calendar.
Sept. 6: Philosophy Purity Cleanser – Now $15 (reg. $24)
I can spend an hour perfecting my makeup, but when it comes to removing it, I want it to be done as quickly as possible. I never ever go to bed without cleaning and moisturizing my face. No matter how late I came home, this procedure is mandatory. Testing Philosophy Purity Cleanser, I concluded that this product might become my best late-night-shower friend as it addresses all the criteria I look for in a facial cleanser. It removes makeup quickly and painlessly; it’s gentle and doesn’t irritate sensitive skin around my eyes, not to mention that it doesn’t leave a greasy or a dry after-taste. While I would prefer a package with a pump, this product‘s benefits overshadow any small design defects. I would gladly buy this all-in-one cleanser again.
Sept. 7: Anastasia Beverly Hills Clear Brow Gel – Now $11 (reg. $22)
I’ve used this brow gel before and I have to say it’s one of the best on the market. It really helps to define your eyebrow whether you are planning to create a natural or a night-out look. For the everyday look, I usually fill my eyebrows up using a light brown pencil and angled brush and then finish up with Anastasia Beverly Hills Clear Brow Gel. I go for a darker shade of a pencil when going out at night, but I still use the brow gel every single time. Within the years of exploring this product (I think I was one of the first people who noticed this brand in Sephora as I was struggling to keep my out-of control brows in place), I purchased it multiple times. Even though I am using it daily, it still lasts forever. As far as I remember my last tube of this brow gel lasted for more than six months.
Sept. 9: Too Faced La Crème Color Drenched Lip Cream – Now $11 (reg. $22)
As a red lipstick lover, I am usually very skeptical about any other shade, but this lip product has melted my heart. It’s very creamy and has an incredibly pleasant consistency (I would say, it’s a mix of a lip balm and lipstick). I loved the fact that Too Faced La Creme Color didn’t make my lips dry after a couple of hours of wearing it. I also was impressed with its longevity: I didn’t need to re-apply it every half an hour like many other creamy lip products. I was pleasantly surprised that this nude shade really worked for me. Even though I am a brunette with a pale skin, it didn’t make me look gothic. Instead, it added some healthy natural glow and brought much needed diversity to my everyday look. Even though I just started using this product, I know that I will be purchasing it again and again.
Sept. 13: Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes 4-in-1 Mascara – Now $10 (reg. $21)
If you have been reading my blog for a while, you know how picky I am when it comes to mascara. I use mascara every day and for me it’s very important that the product perfectly defines my lashes, adds lash volume, doesn’t smudge, doesn’t create spider lashes effect (even though it’s very trendy this season), can be removed in a shower using just water and a facial cleanser, doesn’t smell like oil paint… the list can go on and on. I’ve been using the exact same mascara for a very long time now and, honestly, I pretty much gave up to find another perfect mascara. Imagine, how surprised I was when Light, Camera, Lashes mascara not only met all of my demands but even over-exceeded them (specifically, I loved the fact that the product does not contain any harmful for my skin and health ingredients such as parabens, mineral oil, phthalates, and sodium lauryl sulfate). My verdict: Yes, I would definitely buy this mascara again as it’s my absolute perfect match!
The above-mentioned products are just a few picks from the massive list of beauty steals that you can purchase during 21 Days of Beauty. Stay tuned as I post the list of all sales. Happy shopping!
