Have you heard about a marketing strategy called an “elevator speech”? Over the last couple of weeks I had the opportunity to give an elevator pitch (basically, to introduce myself and my idea) a couple of times. Honestly, it was not that difficult because I am very familiar with the topic and felt very confident. What I noticed is that many business experts that are talking about what to say over your elevator pitch do not pay any attention to what you should wear. In my opinion, beautiful and comfortable clothing combined with high heels dramatically raises the level of confidence and really helps to be more convincing while delivering your pitch.
The question is what outfit works the best when you expect to pitch your ideas within a short period of time? I would say something classic and not too extravagant but at the same time feminine and stylish. For instance, in these photos I am wearing a simple white short sleeve shirt and a black pencil skirt, conservatively stylish but not boring. Also, I believe that my favorite Tahari jacket really brings the look together. I will share with you a little secret: Since the jacket is so unique and does not simply fit into one clothing category, I am wearing it as a jacket during summer and as a blazer during colder months of the year.
