Five Minutes Curls Tutorial

Easy Curls Tutorial by StyleSprinter
Since I learned how to use a hair curlier, my life has changed. I no longer need to wash my hair daily while I have much more hairstyling options available. Prior to that hairstyling discovery I was thinking that making curls is a very time consuming procedure that leads to unpredictable results. Luckily, I’ve learned one easy curls-defining trick that helps me to create perfect curls without failure. Today, I would like to share this this any many other hairstyling tricks with you.

In order to create my five minutes curls look, I used the following tools and hair products.

Easy curls how-to

Step #1: If needed, apply dry shampoo directly to your roots and then distribute the product all over your hair.

Step #2: Secure your hair in a high ponytail with elastic or a hair tie.

Step #3: Curl your hair in alternating directions.

Step #4: Define your curls with glossing tonic or argan oil. If needed, apply hair lifter directly to your roots.

The first and foremost important rule about creating perfect curls is to never start styling when your hair is clean. I believe that the time to style your hair is the next day after you wash your hair. However, if your hair is clean but you still need your curls, I recommend using dry shampoo to make your hair a bit dryer. Spray dry shampoo all over your hair, let it sit for a second, and you are ready to start working on your curls.

Another important trick about curls that I learned is that you have to secure hair in a high ponytail first, and only after that start creating curls. In that way, you will never miss a piece of hair and add extra volume to the roots of your hair.

  • This was really helpful, Katya! I have naturally wavy hair but it goes flat after a couple of days and I’ve been wanting to play around with curling it. I need to buy a curling wand but I will be giving this a try in the near future!

    • I hope it works for you, Kathryn! Since you have naturally wavy hair you might not need to use volumizer but dry shampoo is a must. Please let me know how it goes! I would love to hear how this tip works for other people.

P.S. – Can’t wait for the upcoming Caturday! Meow!

    • Thank you, dear! I checked your blog, you are incredibly gorgeous!

  • This is so smart! I rarely curl my hair because it just take so long and I get impatient haha. I will try this next time! Thank you for the great idea! 🙂

  • Actually, to make a ponytale is a great way! I never use stylers tho. I try to not damage my poor hair =)

    • I avoided using it for a while too, but you have to keep this curlier by Herstyle for only 2 seconds so it doesn’t really damage my hair. I’ve been using it for a while now and my hair seems ok.
