Friday Five: Vintage Brooches

vintage brooches fall winter 2015Granny-looking models occupy the pages of glossy magazines this season. This reference has nothing to do with the models’ age but rather with the vintage-looking clothing, conservative hairstyles, and lots of old-school jewelry. I like fall/winter 2015 Prada campaign where the major trend is to wear oversized jewelry on top of a coat or a tweed jacket. I am definitely repeating this trick when it’s time for outerwear. The good thing about this trend is that you don’t need to spend fortune on while hunting for vintage looking brooches—just pick the ones you like at the local thrift store. In case you prefer to go ‘all the way’ into the trend, I propose to your attention five brooches by the designers that have a modern twist on a vintage vibe.
