Red carpet is very inspiring for me, I am always on a search for the latest trends, color shades, and silhouettes for the upcoming formal events I am invited to. For instance, last year I fell in love with Giuliana Rancic red gown and a couple of months later I found this adorable red dress by Janabelle. This year I was also searching for evening dress inspiration while watching the 67th Annual Emmy Awards so I can share with you my top five favorite outfits that you can repeat yourself (without spending too much money).
Look #1: Lady Gaga in Brandon Maxwell
Even though Lady Gaga decided to keep it simple just this one time, there is nothing wrong with a simple black maxi dress. If it fits perfectly, it is, in fact, a perfect outfit for any formal occasion.
Look #2: Kerry Washington in Marc Jacobs
This dress might be too much for some ladies, but it’s perfect for Kerry. She picked minimum accessories and opted in for simple sandals because – yes! – you can’t even try to switch people’s attention from this gorgeous gown.
Look #3: Padma Lakshmi in Romona Keveza
This look is everything you can look for in a gorgeous red carpet gown. It highlights Padma’s features and her skin tone. It stands out because of the gorgeous color. Finally, it just fits so well. Perfection!
Look #4: Emma Roberts in Jenny Packham
I am not a fan of nude dresses (probably because this color doesn’t really work with my pale skin), but this one is a hit. It shows not too much skin while highlighting Emma’s natural beauty. So chic!
Look #5: Jaimie Alexander in Armani Prive
I like the fact that this multicolor dress features so fashionable this season shade of purple and emerald green. Also, I think that a simple silhouette of this incredibly chic gown is a key to success while trying to combine multiple colors in one outfit.
