It might be cold and nasty in New York, but in my house spring is in full swing. Why? Because I just received my February’s GlossyBox (c/o) full of all things floral! If you remember my previous posts about GlossyBox, I’m always thrilled to receive these beautifully designed boxes as they fit the perfect amount of makeup and look so cute in my beauty room. What I love even more are the full and deluxe size beauty products that are thoughtfully curated around one specific theme.
In case you don’t know, GlossyBox is a beauty subscription service that allows you to receive a set of full size and deluxe samples of predominantly luxury or high-end beauty products delivered to your mail box. The idea here is that this beauty subscription box allows you to discover new products as well as save money on makeup, skincare, and haircare.
Think about it this way: you only pay $17-21 per box and in return you are receiving beauty products that are worth more than $85. In my book, it’s a pretty good deal! Especially considering that I ended up using and loving most of the products from my previous GlossyBox boxes. February’s box was not an exception: I really loved the selection of products and was happy to discover some of the brands I already used and adored.
Okay, without further due let’s dive into what I received in my February’s GlossyBox:
Eve by Eve’s Mattifying HD Loose Powder: It was my absolute favorite product from the box as I’ve been previously exposed to the world of luxury products by this brand. If you remember my full glam makeup tutorial, I already tried a mascara and a lipstick by Eve by Eve’s and this setting powder was a great addition to my collection. At first, I was afraid that this setting powder is not translucent and thus will be visible on my pale skin, but it ended up working great. In fact, I felt that it looks even more natural than my typical setting powder—not to mention that it smells luxurious!
Jeanne Arthes L’Eau de Rose Fragrance: According to the GlossyBox website, this perfume is designed exclusively for this box by the French fragrance house Jeanne Arthes founded back in 1978. As stated in the name of the fragrance, it contains the notes of rose and other sensual and sophisticated flowers I have no idea about. For me, it smells like roses and I’m loving it!
Estée EditPink Peony Overnight Water Pack: At this point, I tested so many different overnight masks that it’s time to write a separate post about it. This particular mask was quite different to the ones I already have in my collection as it’s much thinner than a typical overnight mask. This product reminded me more of a moisturizer rather than a mask, but in combination with a facial oil it worked quite well.
Perfect Formula Pink Gel Coat: I’m currently repairing my nails with Zoya’s nail polishes and this pink gel provides similar benefits to my nails as my favorite all-natural nail treatment. Judging on the color of the bottle, I expected the Perfect Formula repairing gel to look pink, but it’s actually transparent. I used it as a base for both regular and gel nail polish and it worked very well. I’m impressed! Also, look at the size of this product—it will last me for at least a year!
Schwarzkopf Professional Deep Nourishing Treatment: If you remember my January’s Beauty Favorites post, you know that I’ve been all about hair masks lately and this deluxe sample from the GlossyBox was a good one. At first, I was afraid that it will not work for my hair as the packaging stated, “for thick to normal damaged hair” (I would describe my hair as fine), but it turned out to work perfectly for my color treated hair. If I ever run out of hair masks (as my collection keeps growing), I would definitely repurchase this one as it really works and smells so yummy!
To conclude my review, I have to say that I enjoyed most of the goodies from my February’s GlossyBox. Despite the problem that I experienced with the face mask, it was a total win! Saying so, I can’t wait to see what is coming up in my March’s box!
Are you subscribed to the GlossyBox? If so, what are some of the goodies that you received in February’s box?
