Review: Maybelline SuperStay Better Skin Foundation

Maybelline's SuperStay Better Skin Foundation Review

You probably remember my terrifying story about the beauty disaster I’ve been dealing with for a couple of months now. Honestly, I am out of inspiration on what to try next in order to fix my skin. I used a lot of different skincare products, took a course of antibiotics, didn’t wear makeup for the entire week… nothing seem to help. I wish I could tell you that now the problem is gone, but I am not done with this problem yet. Luckily, I found the product that helps me to camouflage my disastrous breakouts. This miracle product is called Maybelline SuperStay Better Skin Foundation and you can find it in any pharmacy.

Maybelline SuperStay Better Skin Review

I used Maybelline Better Skin for the last a couple of photo shoots and events and nobody seemed to notice my problem (either that or my friends are too polite to make a comment). It’s a much heavier foundation that I usually use and I used much more cleansing products to remove it (I started with micellar water, followed by two cleansers and a toner). However, this product didn’t feel greasy or oily on my skin. In opposition, it virtually erased my pores and add a matte finish to my look (without looking ghostly).

I have a very pale skin and it’s usually hard for me to find the proper tone for my foundation. However, I was pleasantly surprised that Maybelline SuperStay Better Skin Foundation icon comes in a such a fair shade as mine (I used Porcelain #10).  I also loved the fact that the foundation stayed on my face for the entire day. I applied it on a clean and moisturized skin followed by Smashbox ‘Photo Finish’ Foundation Primer and Dior ‘Diorskin Nude’ Compact Powder. The look stayed fresh for the most part of the day; I just touched up my T-zone in the afternoon.icon

Maybelline SuperStay Better Skin Review

I can’t comment on whether the foundation makes my skin better as promised in the company’s #BetterSkinChallenge campaign because my skin problem is much worse than any over the counter product can propose, but it did a very good job with covering the imperfections. I really don’t wish anyone to deal with anything that even approximately reminds my beauty disaster, but in case you need a heavy camouflaging solution, Maybelline SuperStay Better Skin Foundation is definitely the one to try.

Disclosure: I received this products complimentary from Influenster for testing purposes.

I know how you feel about finding the right tone of foundation. 🙂 great thing about maybelline too is you can get coupons for it in the paper and online. 🙂

I need to try this out. I got one in my influenster box too but it was too light I’m hoping later on I can get one my skin tone. I had a bad bout of acne earlier this year and just hated my skin but I finally got it smooth again through pills from my doctor thank goodness! I stopped putting a lot of makeup on since then even in my blog pics. I hope your acne gets better I hate that feeling!

  • This sounds like a great product! i’m always scared to try foundations when my skin isn’t happy but this sounds pretty good.
