If you ask me what would be the only beauty product that I can’t live without, I would probably answer… mascara. I know, red lipstick is my signature look, but there are certain situations when red lipstick is simply inappropriate (for instance, in the gym). However, the good thing about mascara is that you can wear it everywhere (even on the beach!) and for any occasion.
Even though mascara is a necessity for me, I can’t use just any mascara. I wear contact lenses and my eyes are very sensitive. For this reason I am quite picky when choosing proper eye product. For starters, it must be hyper allergenic. Also, I love mascaras that I can take off without using eye makeup remover (I prefer washing my face with gentle cleanser and then remove the leftovers with organic oil such as avocado or grape seed oil). And, of course, my mascara should smell good. In my opinion, there is nothing worse than a smell of oil paint that some mascara reminds me (I start sneezing immediately!).
Recently, I found another amazing mascara that I immediately added to my permanent collection, YSL Mascara Volume Effet Faux Cils (c/o). In fact, the mascara “found” me because a popular beauty bloggers platform Influenster provided this beauty product for me to try. I am a long-term fan of YSL mascaras, and this new product continues the best traditions of this luxurious brand. Even though the mascara claims to simply add volume, I believe that it does much more. It separates the lashes and without simply gluing them together. In addition, it smells delicious and looks so pretty.
You probably wonder how this product differs from other mascaras by Yves Saint Lauren. I honestly didn’t notice the difference except the shape of the brush. Prior to trying Faux Cils Mascara I was using YSL Volume Effet Faux Cils Shocking on a daily basis (I also love YSL Babydoll that I reviewed here) and I feel that those products are very similar. In fact, if you ask me to pick just one I would not be able to decide which one is better (both of them are great!). I personally feel that my confidence skyrockets when I apply this luxurious beauty treasure.
