Shrimp Black Bean Pasta Pad Thai

This recipe is the most requested dish in our house. Ben and I love Thai cuisine, and black bean pasta makes this delicious dish super healthy. Check out this easyย recipe that is so perfect if you are cooking for a crowd.


  • 1 package of black bean pasta
  • 1 red pepper, thinly sliced
  • 1 carrot, julienned
  • 2 tbsp peanut oil (you can use oil peanut butter)
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp minced garlic
  • 1 lb shrimp
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp lime juice
  • 1 tbsp teriyaki souse
  • 1 cup bean sprouts
  • 1/2 cup peanuts
  • lime wedges, for garnish


#1: Cook black bean pasta in a small pot. When it is ready, add butter or olive oil.

#2: In a small bowl, mix the soy sauce, lime juice and teriyaki sauce. Set aside.

#3: Heat peanut oil in a wok and stir fry the carrots and peppers.

#4: Whisk eggs and scramble. Add the soy sauce and teriyaki mix.

#5: Add a bit more peanut oil and add garlic.

#6: Saute just until softened and add cooked peeled shrimp.

#7: Add black bean pasta and bean sprouts and stir to incorporate.

#8: Sprinkle peanuts over the top and garnish with lime wedges.
