I have always felt that white is THE color of summer. It helps to highlight your tan (if you have one; it’s not my cup of tea) and you don’t feel that hot in it as in other colors of dresses. I like thinking outside of the box and style my white dresses not only with classic black accessories but also with all shades of brown. By the way, your summer white dress shouldn’t necessarily cost a fortune.
Personally, I get bored with summer clothing very quickly and that is why I prefer investing in accessories rather than dresses for the warm season. For instance, I purchased this cute V-Neck Split Sleeve Chiffon White Dress during Romwe’s sale for such a low price that I am even ashamed announcing it publicly (you can check out their recent sale price here). Combined with a leather belt, one of my favorite Botkier bags, and some gorgeous earrings and necklace by Kira Koktysh, this inexpensive white dress makes a great outfit for a warm day.
