The weather in New York finally feels like summer and it means the rooftop parties’ season is open! Last week, Ben and I met our friends at Trump Soho for the opening of Bar d’Eau where Ben celebrated his last birthday. To attend the party, I decided to wear this white bow decorated dress that I recently scored on Nordstrom. My friends immediately called it “The Marilyn Dress” and I had to agree because the dress indeed was about to fly away and I kept an eye on it at all times.
Similar to a Marilyn Monroe’s cult pleated white dress, my tie front tie dress features a deep V-neckline and a breezy lined skirt. It is made out of a super soft material, which is not a see-through. I love a bow detail on the front that is so perfect for girls with my bra size. The bow is strategically located in a way that you can still wear a stick on bra and nobody would be able to see the bottom strap.
After receiving tons of compliments from Ben, I decided to repeat one of his shopping strategies: If something really works, buy a few similar items for future. Saying so, I’m waiting for Orange Fiesta and Tan Mustard versions of this dress to arrive. Why not? The colorful splash makes this dress design so much more different so nobody would ever recognize that these tie front creations are actually the Marilyn dress doubles.
