The Sticker Denim Trend And How To Style It

stylesprinter-opening-ceremony-striped-maxi-dress-1

When the stickers, pins, and patches denim trend appeared on the fashion horizon, I didn’t jump right on it and there is a reason for that. I don’t know if you guys are noticed or not, but I’m not that into jeans. Don’t take me wrong: I do have an impressive collection of jeans, but these are just not the pieces I’m reaching out on a regular basis (I would rather go for a cute dress or a jumpsuit). However, I really loved the idea of adorable stickers on my clothes so I decided to use them… on my jacket. I felt that the stickers and pins looked very cute on it—especially when combined with my new favorite platform shoes.

This particular jacket came with the pre-made set of pins, but I have another one that I decorated myself. I wonder if you guys would be interested in checking out the tutorial on how to decorate your denim jacket with patches and stickers? If so, please let me know in the comments area below and I’ll put together such post for you!

Meanwhile, let me tell a few words about this cozy maxi dress by Opening Ceremony. If you like me and you love stripes, this casual dress is such a perfect investment piece for a cold season. I love the cure ruffle details on the sleeves and the fact that it features both metallic and matte colors. While I don’t have that many knitted dresses in my collection, this one is definitely one of the latest favorites. It’s elegant and comfy at the same time and I feel that it’s appropriate for so many occasions.

How about you, guys? Do you like wearing knitted dresses in fall and winter? Which brands could you recommend?

Honestly for me, as much as I’d love to wear knitted dresses in the fall and winter, I just can’t because it’s so cold here in Canada! Usually in mid November it starts snowing! I’d be completely bundled up haha

You look gorgeous and I LOVE your style! I do love knitted dresses but I have trouble with some that are too form fitting like your. (2 little ones) So wish I could rock them like you do!

    • I do understand you, Amanda! Knitted dresses are indeed difficult to pull of! However, I learned the trick that if you are wearing layers (like a nice blanket scarf or a cardigan) you distract people’s attention from the problem area. Same goes to the attention-catching jacket: the first thing you see on these photos are pins and stickers on my jacket, rather than any “trouble” zones on my body.

Also, I’d like to encourage you to be proud of your body! I checked out your blog and you look so stunning! No way you have to worry about the fit of any clothes! You are so beautiful!

All the little pins on your jacket are so cute! Thats sp fun that they cam with the jacket.

    • I was so excited about these too! In fact, I reuse the same pins on other denim jackets that I own! In fact, I added a few more stickers into my collection so every time I’m wearing my jacket it looks like a new one because of all of the stickers and pins!

  • Vanessa Troset

  • That jacket looks adorable with those stickers!! My style tends to be on the minimalist feminine or neutral, monochromatic looks so I don’t think I’d be able to pull of this look, but it looks perfect on you!!
