Twisted Ponytail Tutorial

Twisted Ponytail How-To

Side ponytail is one of my favorite hairstyles, especially on those days when I don’t have time for curling my hair. This particular hairstyle I accidentally invented this summer when I was trying to style my frizzy hair on a particularly humid day. It is super simple way to wear your hair that nevertheless looks cute and appropriate for any occasion. Moreover, it requires just a leave-in conditioner and a couple of hair elastics. Check out my tutorial for the cutest twisted side ponytail and get all your questions answered.

Twisted Ponytail Tutorial PinterestStep #1: Start with clean hair. Part the hair on once side and brush it.

Step #2: Apply your favorite leave-in conditioner. I used Macadamia Weightless Moisture Leave-In Conditioning Mist (it smells so delicious!).

Step #3: Secure your hair in a low side ponytail. Use a hair elastic that matches a color of your hair (I picked a black one).

Step #4: Divide your ponytail into two parts.

Step #5: Twist each part and bring them together. Secure with a hair elastic.

Step #6: Divide the rest of the hair in two parts, twist each part, and secure both parts with a hair elastic.

Step #7: Repeat step #6 two more times.

Step #8: Gently tug sections of the twisted ponytail apart to loosen things up a bit. You are all set!
