If you remember yesterday’s post about girly habits of mine, you’ll totally understand why I am so excited about recent collaboration between Papyrus and NYFW designers. In celebration of Spring/Summer 2017 New York Fashion Week collections, my favorite brand launched a new collection of haute couture greeting cards designed by fashion designers Zang Toi and Lela Rose. I was one of the first to know about this exciting project and I’m so excited to share some of my favorite designs with you guys. Also, in celebration of NYFW I’m offering an opportunity for each of you to win a box of notecards from each designer!
I’ve been attending fashion shows by the Malaysian-born designer Zang Toi for a few years now, and I was so excited to see how the designer transferred his signature whimsical looks from fabric to paper. Zang Toi greeting cards line featured some of couturier’s favorite materials: silk, crystals, tulle, and feathers—all spiced up with an elegant hint of glitter.
Perhaps, my favorite design from Zang Toi’s line is this gorgeous masquerade mask card that matches so perfectly my new feather shoes by Steve Madden. I also adore those dark background glitter cards as those combine extravagant jewelry-like designs with gracefully sketched silhouettes.
Paper creations of the American ready-to-wear and bridal designer Lela Rose are very different to those presented to Zang Toi. Here we see splashes of color and patterns, adorable greeting cards in the form of clutch bags, and cute polka dot colored tags. Each of fashion sketches in Lela Rose collection for Papyrus is made out of thick plastic which turns those cards from a typical stationary to a piece of art. I have a few fashion sketches framed in my office and I think this gorgeous pastel purple and yellow dress card is a great candidate for framing!
Those two exclusive lines of greeting cards, blank note cards, thank you cards, tissue paper, and gift tags, have already launched on PapyrusOnline.com and are currently available in New York City based stores. In October, this line of stationery will be available in all Papyrus locations and retailers. Hurry up to pick those gorgeous designs as the cards are getting sold out quickly!
