Last week Ben and I attended a friend’s party at the Hudson Hotel rooftop where we spotted one of the best sunsets I’ve ever seen. The hotel is located just a few minutes away from the Columbus Circle, one of my most favorite places to shop in the City. The weather was gorgeous and we enjoyed sipping rose and cheering our beautiful Birthday girl.
For this rooftop gathering I decided to wear this white lace dress from ChicWish and those gorgeous red sandals that I received from My Shoe Bazar the day of the event. Do you agree that those sandals look very expensive? Guess what? Those go for under $40 if you are using this discount code. Even though the heel on those strap sandals might look a bit too high, they proved to be very comfortable. The secret with that shoe is that the strap on top of the shoe adjusts according to your feet needs. For instance, I have a very high arch, but those fit perfectly and my feet doesn’t feel squeezed on the top.
In anticipation of my red sandals arrival, I picked up this whimsical ‘wink-wink’ clutch from Kate Spade. I noticed that my style is getting more and more preppy these days: I can’t stop myself from craving colorful and fun accessories from the brand. My Kate Spade love story started with this adorable ice cream clutch that continues attracting everyone’s attention. Then, it was this red sunglasses stripe handbag that I scored over my recent trip to Tanger Outlets. Finally, I found this ice cream iPhone case that I’ve been wearing non-stop for the last few months. In other words, I feel that slowly and steady I’m turning into an American prepster! It’s not like I have anything against it, I’m just noticing some changes in my personal style development.
Recently, my affection to girly accessories such as this abundance of pearl bracelets is getting out of control too. I’m obsessed with mixing and matching natural and faux pearl jewelry and my collection is constantly growing. By the way, did you know that the warm body temperature enhances the luster of your pearls? In other words, the more you wear your pearl jewels, the better it is for these organic gems?
