Last week’s face mask update received such a positive feedback that I continue using the “too much information” approach toward reviewing the masks I tested for the 365 Masks Challenge. I tested a few really good ones so if you are looking for mask recommendations targeting dehydrated skin, definitely keep on reading! Also, if you are loving face masks too, join me on Instagram where I post daily mask reviews on my Stories.
This mask is unique because it’s designed for using specifically while taking a shower. I don’t know about you, but it takes me about 10 minutes to wash my hair, apply a hair mask, shave, etc. so I love the idea of a time-saving mask – it works while you are busy showering! The mask has a slight minty scent and refreshes my skin in a matter of minutes. So when you are done with the shower, your skin feels super clean and looks truly refreshed.
The Promise: “The cooling gel mask simultaneously protects skin from the damaging effects of hot water and is activated by the shower’s heat and steam.”
Active Ingredients: Nrf2 Antioxidant Support Complex naturally derived from a complex of turmeric, olive leaf, green tea and cress sprouts.
Consistency: Lightweight gel.
Scent: Minty and non-irritating.
Price Point: $50 for 2.5 fl.oz./75 ml at perriconemd.com.
I had this sheet mask set in my beauty closet for a few months and I was waiting for a special occasion to test it. This week, my skin felt especially cranky and dehydrated so I figured why waiting if I really need some skincare help? As expected, the Sulwhasoo mask did not disappoint. It left my skin feeling refreshed, super hydrated, and firm. I might have discovered my new favorite sheet mask of all time!

I’ve been raving about this tea-infused mask for ages and I still believe that it’s one of the best masks on the market. It smells divine, it momentarily firms and hydrates your skin, and it’s just so pleasant to apply! If you ask me, this and also overnight mask by the brand are in my top 5 favorite masks of all time!
The Promise: “This skin purifying wash-off masque contains fermented green tea leaf extract that delivers unparalleled antioxidant efficiency.”
Active Ingredients: Gallic acid and green tea leaf extract.

It rarely happens to me that a mask doesn’t work for me as my skin is not that sensitive. But this cute looking 2-in-1 under eye mask is one of those rare exceptions. I don’t know why, but after I took off the patches (aka the first part of the system), the entire area underneath the mask was red and irritated. In order to avoid a disaster, I immediately took an allergy pill and my skin returned back to normal in an hour or so. I even used the second part of the package, an eye cream, that was soothing and very pleasant.
The Promise: “Yes to being easy on the eyes with soothing cucumber, caffeine and evodia fruit to keep your skin calm while waving buh-bye to excess (eye) baggage and dark circles.”
Active Ingredients: Cucumber extract, caffeine, and evodia fruit.
Package: One set of fabric under eye patches and an under-eye cream.
Scent: The patches were fragranced, but I couldn’t figure out the scent. The under-eye cream has a slight but pleasant aroma.
Price Point: $3.99 at ulta.com.
I almost finished an entire jar of this mask and I love it so much! It’s worked miracles for my dehydrated skin and I always keep that product in mind for the days after I used detoxifying or deep cleansing masks. This June Jacobs mask helps to quickly restore the balance of my skin, making it so smooth and glowing – in just 10 minutes!
The Promise: “This rich, luxurious, hydrating masque with a powerful combination of anti-aging ingredients and nourishing botanicals provides superior moisture and helps smooth away the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.”
Active Ingredients: Sterocare (“a botanical complex composed of red clover extract and lecithin designed to improve the thickness of the skin by compensating for the deprivation of estrogen”), red clover extract, lecithin, and kombuchka (derived from fermented black tea). Paraben and preservative free.
Scent: Beautiful and non-irritating.
Price Point: $70 for 4.0 fl. oz. /120 ml at DermStore.
I’ve been using this hair mask for a while and it’s been one of my favorite new discoveries. In case you didn’t hear about it yet, Rossano Ferretti is a new luxury haircare line that just launched at Sephora. They specialize on rich, nourishing products that don’t contain harsh chemicals—RF products also smell so yummy! I love using this mask once a week, especially on the days when I’ve been wearing curls for a while. I feel that this mask helps to deeply nourish my hair and repair it after using the heat on my hair. By the way, it’s safe to use for color and keratin treated hair.
The Promise: “A hair mask with an exceptionally rich concentration of nourishing, strengthening, and moisturizing ingredients to leave hair incredibly smooth, soft, strong, and shiny.”
Active Ingredients: Shea butter, Bassia Butyraces Seed Butter, Hydrogenated Starch Hydrolysate, and Sweet Almond Oil. Free of parahydroxybenzoates, formaldehyde, and SLS.
Consistency: Thick and creamy.
Price Point: $65 for 8.45 oz at Sephora.
One of the issues I experience with the majority of peel-off masks is that they never come off as one piece. This ccharcoal-basedmask by Seventh Heaven is a lucky exception: not only it works miracles when it comes to cleansing and mattifying the skin, it also dries quickly and is so easy to remove!
The Promise: “With cleansing activated Charcoal to draw out impurities and our special combination of Witch Hazel and Birch Leaf to calm and soothe – You’ll feel squeaky clean!”
Active Ingredients: Black lava, charcoal powder, and walnut seed.
Consistency: Gel, peel-off.
Price Point: $1.99 at ulta.com.
