I don’t know about you, but sometimes I find it difficult for me to pick a beauty product because… there are too many options. With this in mind, I decided to create the “Beauty Wars” series where I’ll be comparing two or more products that I’ve tested so it’s easier for you to make up your mind about which to purchase. And today I’ll be comparing two foundations that I’ve been wearing lately. The first one is It Cosmetics Your Skin But Better CC Cream that I scored at Ulta Beauty’s latest sale. The second one is Missha Signature Real Complete BB Cream that is available at Amazon. Please keep in mind that I wear each of these products at least five times prior to reviewing them on the blog.
Coverage
Missha’s product feels a bit heavier and requires a bit more blending. However, it’s still very easy to apply and doesn’t feel as though it’s blocking my pores. It provides a medium to full coverage but doesn’t look unnatural. It Cosmetics’ product has a lighter consistency and looks more natural on my skin.
Durability
As promised, Missha’s BB Cream is extremely long-lasting! To be honest, I didn’t expect a BB cream to stay on my skin for so long, but it’s definitely working! Even though It Cosmetics promises full coverage, I felt the need to reapply this CC Cream after 4-5 hours of wearing.
Ingredients
Both products are free of parabens and mineral oil. However, I find the long list of ingredients both products contain a little scary…
The Shine Factor
Both products provide a dewy finish and I felt the need to apply a setting powder on my T-zone.
SPF
It Cosmetics provides an impressive SPF 50+ coverage, while Missha’s product is SPF 25 and PA++ (it’s a sunscreen rating system approved in Korea and Japan, but not in the U.S.).
Color
As you can see in the photos, the shade of Missha’s product is a bit too dark for my skin tone when it’s applied to my wrist. However, this brownish shade changes dramatically within a few minutes of being on my skin. When it comes to It Cosmetics’ product, it comes in a much lighter shade that doesn’t change on the skin.
Animal Testing
Both products are cruelty-free.
Manufacturing
Both products are made in Korea.
Price
$19.99 for Missha Signature Real Complete BB Cream (1.58 fl. oz.); $38 for It Cosmetics Your Skin But Better CC Cream SPF 50+ (1.08 fl. oz.).
The Verdict
I’ve been used the CC Cream by It Cosmetics more often, as it provides more natural coverage and I don’t really have any complaints about it except that it’s not very long-lasting. However, I enjoy having the BB Cream by Missha on hand for the times when I am planning to go on a long trip — it lasted throughout the entire day!
Amazing review and super helpful!! I’ve been wanting IT’s CC cream but I would have to mix two different shades in order to get the correct color for me. It’s a bit too much money for me to invest since I don’t know if I’ll like the CC cream….

That’s one of the few products that changes its color on my skin. Another one is a CC Cream by Juice Beauty. I am not sure if I like that quality as it makes difficult to guess which shade will work for you…
I am so glad you enjoyed this new format! I’ll make sure to publish another review like that next week!
Thank you so much, Trang! Have a lovely day! Xoxo
Thank you so much! My skin is really getting better since my major breakouts experience. I guess drinking a lot of water and eating vegan really helps! Thanks for your sweet compliment! ?
I am a big believer in Korean brands too! FIY ItCosmetics product is also formulated in Korea!
Your skin is flawless so I definitely trust your reviews! I’ve heard of IT cosmetics but never used them. I LOVE Miisha though since I’m a huge believer in Korean beauty products. Can’t wait to try these out!

I really like this format, it’s super helpful when you’re looking at tons of different products already. It’s interesting that the color changes, is that typical of foundations?

Gotcha! I have to be careful with powder as my skin is super dry…
Perhaps, it’s just too dark for me – I am super pale, especially during the cold season. Yes, It Cosmetics is a great one to try! Thanks for stopping by, Bash! xoxo
Yes, it’s a great shade for my pale skin. Usually, it’s difficult for me to find a perfect shade, but this one by ItCosmetics seems like a perfect match!
Thank you so much, Amanda! I am planning on writing more reviews like that!
I have not tried either of these, but I really want to try some more products from It Cosmetics. I really like this style of review.

I like the look of It Cosmetics cream! Looks like it blends in fairly better with a lighter skin tone.

Thanks!!!! Sure does! I am on the oily side so I always have to follow everything up with powder. lol
I’m actually surprised Missha’s BB Cream was darker. Since there is a Missha here and it’s always promoting light skin. I think I’ll try out It Cosmetics’ since I’m looking for a natural look for everyday wear. Thanks for the review <3

Me too! I purchased it because it had Spf 50 and tons of positive reviews and I now I totally understand why people love that product – it’s so awesome!!
You are so sweet, Shireen! You are my top skincare and makeup adviser so I’d be glad to collab with you any way possible! How about we create a look using products for under $30? It could be any look, the challenge here is to demonstrate that you don’t need too much money to be able to repeat many of the looks we love on other peoples blogs and YouTube channels. What do you think?
Yes, cruelty-free is very important for me and I’m definitely looking out for products that have not been tested on animals. I’d glad you enjoyed the review! Thanks for stopping by! ?
Thank you for reading, Megan! ❤️
Thank you! ❤️
My skin breaks out often, but these work for me! However, since these foundations make your skin look dewy I guess they are not that good for oily skin (it might seem even more shiny).
My skin is dry and often breaks out so I don’t mind some extra moisture – that way it doesn’t look that dry.
I hope it helps!
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Do they both do well with acne prone skin? You look amazing! Great review!
Lovely comparison! Xx

Amazing photos (you’re stunning by the way), I love that both products are cruelty-free, definitely think I’m going to look into BB and CC creams more!

I love that IT Cosmetics CC cream, I had a sample of it that lasted me a very long time and I should really repurchase it. Never tried Missha though, actually this is the first time I’m reading about the brand.
ps: I would love to collab with you! No idea on what though…I’m no where as good as you are in fashion or even makeup. LOL!
