Frida Kahlo Halloween Makeup Tutorial

Frida Kahlo Halloween Makeup Tutorial

I always wanted to do a Frida Kahlo Halloween makeup look, but it always seemed a bit too boring to me… I wear a red lip makeup all the time and I wanted to do something new and fun for Halloween. So, I decided why not creating the Frida look but in pastel, unicorn-like colors? I found a lavender wig, put on purple eyeshadows – and there you have it, the colorful Frida Halloween makeup!

Makeup Products You’ll Need

To create Frida look for Halloween, you don’t need much. I used eyeshadows as a blush and picked purple gems at Walmart. I used the same glitter both on my eyes and lips. In other words, this Frida Kahlo Halloween look is easy to recreate using makeup products that you already have in your collection.

Frida Kahlo Halloween Makeup: Step-by-Step Tutorial

Below, I provide step-by-step instructions on how to recreate this colorful Frida Halloween makeup look.

1. Apply your foundation and concealer as usual. Use a damp beauty blender to apply a setting powder and bake the under-eye area while you are working on your eye makeup.

2. Prep your lids with an eyeshadow primer and apply a matte purple shadow onto outer corners. Pick a smaller brush and apply a darker shade of purples onto outer corners. Apply pink eyeshadow on the inner corners and lower lid. Use your fingertips to apply glitter in the middle of the lid.

3. False lashes are a must while creating a Halloween look. I used my regular mascara first and then applied Velour false lashes.

4. For contouring and blush, I used Huda Beauty palette as a blusher. That way, the look blends in with the shade of the wig.

5. For lips, I applied a liquid lipstick, immediately followed by matching shade of glitter applied with your fingertips.
