Did you know that one of the quickest (and seemingly effortless) ways to dramatically change your look is to change the way you part your hair? Even though I understand this simple rule, most of the times I simply part my hair to the side. When I saw Vivienne Tam’s NYFW show where models were wearing their sleeked back hair, I thought it could be a fun hairstyle to repeat. Today, I share with you a tutorial on how to replicate this awesome ‘cool school-girl’ look created by Leon Gorman, the lead hair stylist for Red Door Spa.
Step #1: Start with clean hair. Apply Kérastase Smoothing Oil to give your hair shine and vigorous look.
Step #2: Using a comb, apply Kérastase Mousse Bouffante starting from the front of the hair and moving towards the mid-length (learn my trick on how to apply mousse hair products).
Step #3: Wrap the top section of the hair using a head wrap (it should be a see-though one).
Step #4: Apply Kérastase Blow Dry Control Cream on top of the hair secured by the hair wrap and blow dry your hair through it using a diffuser.
Step #5: Once completely dry, remove the hair wrap and apply Kérastase Hairspray for a maximum hold.
