I figured out pretty early that I wanted to be a writer. At the age of 15, I published my first article at the Belarusian newspaper and never stopped writing since then. When I came to the U.S., I was not sure if storytelling skills were transferable to another language and I didn’t know that one day my story would be published in the American magazine. But here I am, carrying the issue of the glossy magazine with a romantic title, In Love, where my very first article in English is published. I don’t know where this publication will lead me, but it feels so good to feel myself for a second in Carrie Bradshaw’s shoes.
I decided to wear some very special pieces for this photo shoot that’s dedicated to my glossy magazine publication. In fact, some of these pieces traveled across continents to send me a happy spring message.
La Strada Sunglasses (Minsk, Belarus)
One of my favorite Russian-speaking bloggers, Julia Novik, sent me those incredibly cute cat eye sunglasses by La Strada directly from Minsk (thank you, dear!). I opened my very special package from the Motherland about two weeks ago and couldn’t stop wearing them since then. My sunglasses come in delicate blue and purple colors that match so many of my spring outfits.
The funny thing about those sunnies is that in translation from Italian, the brand name ‘la strada’ means ‘the road’ which makes even more sense considering that the typical flight from Minsk to New York is about 12 hours. Those sunglasses also remind me of my road from Minsk to Moscow and then to New York where I hope to permanently settle (read this post where I explain why).
There are much more beautiful models of La Strada sunglasses available on Julia’s blog, so definitely check them out if you are looking to update your collection. Feel free to drop her a line if you would like to purchase any of the sunnies from her blog post.
RocksBox Jewelry (San Francisco, California)
As I blogged a couple of weeks ago, I finally accepted the fact that subscription-based services such as Birchbox are incredibly helpful and fun. This week I tried just another mail-delivered service called RocksBox that allows you to rent jewelry pieces by high-end designers. Here is how it works. Every month you receive a cute box with three pieces of jewelry in it that you can wear as long as you wish, purchase at any time, or exchange for other pieces.
Prior to receiving your first box, you are asked to finish a quick survey where you describe your style in general and jewelry preferences more specifically. For instance, during my survey I claimed that I prefer refined and classy looks and usually don’t wear gold jewelry. If you wish, you can also add items to your Wish List so the RocksBox style experts know exactly which styles of jewelry you like and suggest matching pieces to you.
I am super excited to propose to you an exclusive discount code for your first RocksBox order. Use the code stylesprinterxoxo to receive one month free of your RocksBox subscription! Sign up for this awesome service HERE.
Similar to other subscription services, RocksBox provides you an opportunity to explore those brands and styles that you might not know about otherwise. Also, this service allows you to wear pieces by famous designers such as Kendra Scott, House of Harlow 1960, Loren Hope, and Gorjana that might not be that affordable otherwise. Finally, it is so much fun to wear different types of jewelry all the time as opposed to sticking to your regular pieces.

Usually, I am not a big fan of so-called fast fashion brands that come out with new collections every two weeks (I wrote about it in my post The Danger of Non-Repeatable Clothing), but this Romwe Floral Print Slim White Dress (c/o) seems like a great style investment.
First of all, the dress comes in a perfect mid-knee length which makes it perfect for almost any occasion, from a family gathering to a meeting with besties, shopping trip, or a business meeting. Second of all, the print used for this dress is anything but boring. It is floral, but at the same time not too flashy which makes it a very versatile piece.
Finally, this dress looks very chic while being very inexpensive. The dress is on sale now for just $17.33. By the way, the blue lace dress that I wrote about last week is also on sale now; you can check it out here.
I hope you guys liked my Carrie Bradshaw inspired outfit and new pieces in my wardrobe. Please let me know if you ever purchase clothing and accessories from all over the world. I look forward to reading your comments!
