A New Twist on the Holiday Dress

A New Twist on the Holiday Dress

Considering that red is officially the trendiest color of the season (it also happened to be one of the major winter holiday shades), it’s easy to predict what type of dresses people will be wearing for holiday parties. While there is absolutely nothing wrong with dressing all red for holidays, I was thinking to try something a bit different by putting together this colorful burgundy look. I feel that this outfit might look even more festive than your typical red dress!

It all starts with the dress! Sometimes I feel that important events in our lives truly remind weddings. If you were not able to find that perfect dress for the occasion, it doesn’t really matter what are the new shoes or a bag you are wearing. In opposition, when the dress is right the accessories are like a cherry on top of the cake which makes the dress even more special.

I was on a hunt for a perfect holiday dress for the longest time until I found this ruffle lace dress. Even though I didn’t have this plan in mind, it matches surprisingly well with the coat I’ve been wearing non-stop this season. Granted: this coat is not the warmest you could find, but it all works if you are jumping in a cab and straight to the event location while going out.

The cherry on top that brought the final touch to the look are these adorable earrings by Sequin NYC. I already mentioned this brand on the blog while talking about how to look better in holiday pictures and I continue enjoying wearing these unique jewelry pieces. Not only these turn any simple outfit into a festive one, I see myself wearing these gorgeous earrings and versatile dresses for months after the holidays are over.

There you have it guys: the first holiday outfit idea that you could copy for the upcoming season. All you need is a lace dress that matches your coat and some sparkly accessories. Doesn’t this attire put you in a festive mood?

  2. I LOVE the cut out details in this lace dress. And that coat complements the color of your dress perfectly. I actually had trouble finding a red dress I loved for the holidays this season and definitely gravitated toward different colors, prints and textures instead.
