Let’s be real, ladies, pastels for spring are just too cliché. And while I’m certainly the one who is obsessing of all millennial pinks and light blue dresses and accessories, there is much for to explore color-wise in spring of 2019. If you are confronted with a major wardrobe crisis, consider adding a just a few trendy colorful pieces to your basics collection so you don’t need to invest into an entire spring capsule wardrobe.
And orange hues, in general, are so in style this season – and I can’t get enough. If you are feeling intimidated rocking a Clockwork Orange look, go for muted shades or simply introduce the trendy shade as a part of the print. Because hey, colorful prints are very much in style for Spring 2019!
If there is one color trend I’m the most excited about, it’s lavender. Not only it’s a universally flattering shade it just has such a great vibe to it. And perfectly matches your typical all white or all black pieces. Such a win-win color for spring!
Last year I’ve been obsessing over pink and yellow combos and it seems like it’s totally possible to repurpose some of last year’s colorful pieces into this season’s wardrobe. I’m especially excited about rocking muted yellow shades (Pantone names that hue Lemon Verbena) as it’s a new twist to your typical pastels but in a much chicer way.
Beige on Beige on Beige
Neutrals are so IN this season! Especially layering pieces in the same color palette or rocking an entire monochrome look. I’m personally planning on investing in a classic beige trench coat – it makes so much easier to layer all my neutrals with such classy and chic outerwear.
In my humble opinion, pastel green looks better in interior décor than personal styling, but if you are just spritzing it into your look it’s actually quite flattering. I just picked up a few mint green tops and they look so refreshing with my otherwise neutral look!
