One of the places I was dying to visit while in LA was Pixi Beauty boutique in Venice, California. While I always see Pixi products at Target and Urban Outfitters, I always wanted to see an entire store dedicated to all things Pixi. As it turned out, brand’s first flagship store in the U.S. was just a few blocks away from my hotel, on the famed Abbot Kinney Boulevard. I was thrilled to be invited by the Pixi team for a complimentary makeover and write about my experience.
For starters, the boutique looks gorgeous! The interior is all white, Pixi green, and floral and the beauty displays are so charming. Honestly, I got lost trying to figure out where to start first – in the skincare or makeup side, as I have tons of favorites from both categories. Glow Tonic, face mists, liquid lipsticks, blushes – imagine how excited I was to see a whole room full of all things Pixi.
After oohing and ahhing for a while, I move toward the new launches area. And there you have it: new face and eyeshadow palettes created in collaboration with famous YouTubers Dulce Candy, Chloe Morello, and Weylie Hoang were right there in all their fabulousness. After swatching and researching, I concluded that I love Palette Chloette the most as it combines blush and eye shades which makes it perfect for traveling. I also had a major crush on Glow-y Gossamer Duos – these highlighters were so perfectly blinding! As yes, I swatched each and every Liquid Fairy Lights shade because glitter is my spirit animal.
As it turned out, there is much more to Pixi Boutique than just having a chance to explore all the products. You can also sign up for facial featuring brand’s products, manicure, or a makeup makeover. Since I was getting ready for my speaking engagement with Rakuten, I was delighted to experience a full-blown skincare and makeup experience with Pixi.
We started with a cleansing ritual using Makeup Melting Cleansing Cloths. The next step was all about enhancing that glow with the help of Glow Tonic To-Go Pads and a new for me Rose Tonic. For makeup prep, my makeup artist Clare picked cute-looking cult-favorite Rose Caviar Essence.
For makeup, we went for a glowing skin finish and neutral blush from the Palette Chloette. For eyes, we opted in for neutral shades from the Mesmerizing Mineral Palette finished with a pinch of Liquid Fairy Lights Glitter. Nude lip is not something I opt in for on a regular basis, but I truly enjoyed how Matte Beige shade worked with my dress and eye makeup. To finish the look, I was excited to try new Glow-y Gossamer Duos that people kept complimenting at the event. I felt so glowing and pretty rocking Pixi makeup!
After having such wonderful experience at the Pixi boutique, I kept thinking how wonderful it would be to have one of such stores in New York City too. If that is in brand’s plans, I would go there to get PIXIfied every single week!
