Tula Skin Care – Putting Probiotic Line to the Test

Tula Exfoliating Treatment Mask

Reading the headline of this post, you were probably thinking, “Probiotics for what?” As it turned out, probiotics come not only in the form of supplements but also as skincare products. I’ve tested a few of such beauty items kindly provided to me by Tula skin care for testing purposes and these are my conclusions.

Tula Exfoliating Treatment Mask

“Exfoliates old, dead skin cells to reveal the look of a hydrated, glowing complexion.”

I applied Tula Exfoliating Treatment Mask with Probiotic Technology on clean skin twice a week after taking a bath or a shower.

Before applying a mask, I washed my face with Aveeno Positively Radiant Brightening Cleanser.

At first, I was afraid that my skin will break out from the product as I felt a slight tingling after I applied the mask. Luckily, no allergic reaction happened, and I’ve been having the mask on for about 10 minutes.

The mask comes in a cute aquamarine color that matches the shade of the packaging. The consistency is rather thick, with clay beads that exfoliate the skin while application. In my experience, the mask never dries completely on your face which makes it easier to remove it. I used just cotton swabs wetted in lukewarm water.

I felt the effect of using this mask after the first application. My skin felt much tighter and less shiny than usual. I ended using this mask every time before important meetings for an immediate refresh. When it comes to acne, my skin is much clearer now. I can’t say for sure that it’s only because of the Tula skin care mask. Perhaps, it’s rather a combination of various skin care products that I’ve been experimenting with.

The Conclusion: I’ll definitely repurchase.

Tula Illuminating Face Serum

“Light, easily absorbed formula to maintain a fresh, hydrated, youthful-looking glow.”

I used Tula Illuminating Face Serum with Probiotic Technology twice a day for about a week after I wash my face and before I apply my moisturizer. Since my skin was still a bit irritated, I picked a neutral Aveeno product as a cleanser. I used Eucerin Face Lotion SPF 30 during the day and Clarins Multi-Active Nuit at night.

The serum comes in a glass tube that is a piece of art itself. The product has a pale blue shade to it and smells delicious. It is a gel-based serum that absorbs into the skin fast and does not leave an oily after-feel. This serum has a medium-thick consistency, but it does not feel excessive when applied underneath a moisturizer.

When it comes to the product quality, I felt that it’s a great serum for everyday use. I didn’t feel any dramatic change happening to my skin after using it. Yet, it looked moist, refreshed, and well-kept. I enjoyed the fact that I am using a product that does not contain any harsh chemicals (such as Parabens and Propylene Glycol). I also made a mental note on how fast this serum absorbs in my skin, which makes it a perfect makeup prep product.

I used two to three pumps of Tula serum each time which means the product will not last too long.

The Conclusion: I’ll repurchase only if I feel spendy or as a present for an organic loving friend.
