Travel Toiletries to Pack

travel toiletries list

While I’m usually a good packer, I tend to forget at home some of the crucial beauty products that make my vacation so much easier. This time around, I decided to put together a reminder that contains top travel toiletries that I’m planning to bring on my winter vacation. I hope this helps you as much as it helped me!

Face Cleanser

When it comes to skincare, a perfect cleanser is the most important for me. In case you don’t know yet, I’m very-very-very picky when it comes to cleansers. I have a few favorites on rotation, and I rarely switch from these products as I love how my skin looks and feels after using them.

Dermalogica PreCleanse

My favorite cleansing combo is Dermalogica PreCleanse, followed by Dermalogica Special Cleansing Gel.

Cleansing oil melts makeup, and the cleanser makes my skin squeaky clean.

If my skin still breaks out, I also like packing salicylic-based cleansers while on vacation. My current favorite is Neutrogena Deep Clean that could also be used as a purifying clay mask.

Exfoliant

Maybe it’s just mine super picky skin or rapid change of climate and water, but my face always breaks out while on vacation. Another reason might be that I tend to forget to bring with me chemical exfoliators and, as a result, don’t re-surface my skin as often as I’m at home.

Lately, I found a small packaged Dermalogica Daily Superfoliant, and I love what it does to my skin. I’m bringing this super effective skin smoother to vacation!

Serum

PCA Skin HA Serum Review

When it comes to vacation, I tend to stick to my old favorite PCA Skin Hyaluronic Acid Boosting Serum. It’s a versatile product that I could use both at night and during the day.

This formula is perfect for a warm climate. It works great in combination with cream for cold weather situations too.

Moisturizers

When my skin feels dehydrated during long flights, I love to use a rich moisturizing cream at night. For the day, I’m sticking to 2-in-1 formulas to save space in a suitcase.

One of my favorite high-end moisturizer brands is Fresh Beauty. My favorite day cream by the brand is Lotus Anti-Aging Daily Moisturizer. Brand’s Lotus Night Recovery Cream – it’s so gentle and deeply nourishing.

From drugstore options, La Roche-Posay is the way to do. I highly recommend Toleriane Double Repair UV for the day and Toleriane Ultra Night for the nighttime.

Eye Cream

When it comes to switching different time zones, a good eye cream is a necessity. While at home, I tend to change from hydrating to anti-aging to anti-under-eye-circles eye cream all the time.

Since I’m trying to pack as least amount of products as possible, I’ll be bringing with me NeoCutis Eye Cream. It’s one of my favorite all-in-one kind of under-eye creams.

Sheet Masks

Tarte Tight and Bright Mask

Usually, I pick a mixture of clarifying and hydrating sheet masks that I pack in the 3:1 ratio. In other words, three hydrating masks to one cleansing or detoxifying mask.

That way, I could hydrate my skin throughout the week and deep cleanse it on the weekend.

If you are looking for a regular, check out Tarte Tight and Bright Mask and I Dew Care Berry Bubbly Mask.

Face Sunscreen

Usually, I’m very diligent about using sunscreen while at home, but when I’m packing for vacation, I only remember to bring SPF for my body. If you only will make one conclusion from this post, let it be it. You NEED a separate sunscreen for your face as a regular one most likely will break you out.

If you have acne-prone skin like mine, using a body SPF on your face is a big no-no – even if you do it just once.

My favorite face sunscreen to use while on vacation is SkinCeuticals Sheer Physical UV Defense SPF 50. It’s lightweight, relatively affordable, and just overall so perfect!

Makeup Removing Wipes

I used to be able to use any makeup removing wipes out there, but ever since I tried Estee Lauder Makeup Remover Wipes, I can’t switch to anything else.

These travel-friendly makeup removing wipes melt even the most sturdy makeup, so you don’t need to strip your skin while trying to get rid of waterproof eyeliner.

SPF for Lips

ColoreScience Lip Shine SPF 35

I can’t even count how many times I came back home from vacation and found that my lips were covered in freckles, which is a sign of sun damage.

This time around, I will not be leaving my house without having ColoreScience Sunforgettable Lip Shine SPF 35. It’s is a lip gloss that also contains sunscreen. It’s not only protective, but also pretty!

That’s about it! Five must-have products that I packed with me for vacation. I hope this post reminded you about some of the travel toiletries that you also always forget to pack while going on vacation. I wonder if I’m missing anything else? Please share your suggestions in the comments area below!

    Hi dear,

    Thanks for your tips ?

May I ask you the eye pigment you’ve used for this picture?
That vivid pink with glossy golden shift is gorgeous against your skin tone ?

I also like very much your lipstick – if you could let me/us know the reference, you’d make my day!

    Cheers
