Best Repairing Balms for Dry Elbows

Best Repairing Balms for Dry Elbows

This winter has been so brutal that, for the first time in years, I had to pull out my skin repairing balms to deal with the issue. Usually, regular body butter or lotion is just fine for my semi-dry skin, but this year I had to take out my heavy-duty products for my dry elbows. This is a round-up of all the best skin healing products I recently discovered.

Paula’s Choice Lip & Body Treatment Balm

Paula’s Choice Lip & Body Treatment Balm

By the time I’m writing this review, I’m almost entirely out of this amazing product that is responsible for keeping my skin smooth. I apply this product overnight on my dry elbows and knees.

It proved to be not only practical but also multi-purpose friendly. For instance, I use this thick treatment balm as a protective ointment for my skin while tinting my brows.

HERO INGREDIENTS: Castor Seed Oil, Petrolatum, and Beeswax.
Perricone MD Pre Empt Series The Fixer Solid Oil

Perricone MD Pre: Empt The Fixer Solid Oil

As it comes from its name, this clear thin balm is a solid oil. What I mean by that is that it looks like a solid balm while in the pan, but once applied on the skin, it transforms into a light oil that quickly absorbs into the skin and doesn’t leave a greasy residue.

I love using this product not only as a way to repair dry skin speedily but also to tame flyaway hair when I’m taking pictures or shooting videos.

HERO INGREDIENTS: Rice Bran Oil, Avocado Oil, Coconut Oil, and Safflower Seed Oil.
C.O. Bigelow Lavender Salve

C.O. Bigelow Lavender Salve

Until recently, I was confident that this cute tin by C.O. Bigelow is a regular lip balm. As it turned out, though, this is a multi-purpose salve that could be used on your knees, dry elbows, face, cuticles, lips, face—or any severely dry patches of your skin.

After experimenting with the product for a while, I figured that personally for me, this product makes a perfect cuticle oil. I apply it at night, and by the morning my manicure looks so much better.

HERO INGREDIENTS: Petrolatum, Lanolin Oil, and Squalane.
Shiffa Healing Balm

Shiffa Healing Balm

From all the products on the list, this beautifully smelling balm is the biggest multitasker. It could be used on your face as a night serum, on dry or damaged skin all over your body, on areas affected by rosacea and eczema, and of course on dry elbows.

The product contains an impressive mix of all-natural ingredients and doesn’t cause skin irritations.

HERO INGREDIENTS: Shea Butter, Jojoba, Lavender, Calendula, Arnica, St. John’s Wort, Mango Butter.
Dove Skin Relief Expert Repairing Balm

Dove Repairing Balm

This clear balm has the most pleasant whipped consistency you could imagine. Moreover, it’s the most affordable and still super effective healing balm on the list.

On the days when my skin is entirely out of control, I love using this non-greasy balm as an overnight body lotion. Especially before an important photoshoot, when my skin needs to look good — and it works!

HERO INGREDIENTS: Petrolatum, Dimethicone, and Paraffin.

Here you go a list of top five skin-repairing products at every price range that will help you to heal all the rough patches. Whether you use these products every day or only when needed, your skin will thank you for all the extra love these products deliver.

I wonder if you already tried any of the products on the list? Or, perhaps, you have your recommendations? Please share your thoughts and suggestions in the comments area below!
