Picking a perfect Mother’s Day gift is always a dilemma (at least for me). Since you are an adult, you don’t want your gift to be too sentimental. At the same time, you want to find something that your mom will actually use and enjoy for more than a few days. Yes, flowers and chocolate is always a great idea, but why not trying something new? In case you are still looking for a perfect Mother’s Day gift, I put together my list of recommended products that I personally tried and loved. I’m certain that your mom will appreciate these goodies too!
IT Cosmetics Naturally Pretty Palette. This gorgeous palette contains 14 silky eye shadows that are actually…anti-aging! The palette also contains a “Transforming Pearl” shade that allows to transform matte shadows into shimmery ones. I truly enjoy how blendable and easy to work with these eyeshadows are and I believe that your mom will love this neutral tone palette too.
Gifting tip: Match the palette with a high-quality makeup brushes by IT Cosmetics. I have a few of those in my collection and I’m obsessed with them!
Where to buy: $42 at Ulta.com.
IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Pores Pressed Powder and Heavenly Luxe Complexion Perfection Brush #7. Gifting someone a foundation or a concealer is never a good idea as it’s close to impossible to guess the shade and finish a person would enjoy. It’s a bit easier with powders, especially if we are talking about translucent ones. My current favorite powder that I always have in my bag is this one by IT Cosmetics. I use it for setting my foundation and concealer and also for touch-ups while I’m on the go. While it might sound like a better idea to pick a powder brush for this gift set, I actually advice on picking this double-sided brush instead. It’s super soft and so perfect for liquid and stick foundation and concealer application. I also love that it’s a double-sided so it saves space in your makeup bag.
Gifting tip: Put this powder and a brush in this cute makeup bag.
BareMinerals BareSensuals Palette. This gorgeous palette also offers a great range of neutral shades: some of them are matte while others are shimmery. The majority of the 14 shades are “rose-inspired hues” while there are also some gold and beige tones added to the mix. The palette comes with a double-sided brush and a huge mirror. I love the silky and not too pigmented finish the eye shadows provide. What’s also great is that the eyeshadow fallout is minimal so you can use these shadows after applying your foundation.
Another recent palette launch by BareMinerals: BareMinerals Naturals Palette.
Gifting tip: Since it’s a rose-inspired palette, wrap it in a rose gold black marble wrapping paper.
Where to buy: Apparently, the palette is currently sold out at Ulta, but I will keep you posted when it’s back in stock.
Burberry Liquid Lip Velvet. If you think that the words “mom” and “liquid lipstick” never go in one sentence, you might need to reconsider this notion after testing matte-cream lipsticks by Burberry. These “lip velvets” called this way for a reason: they provide the most pigmented and smooth coverage without making lips feel dry. I enjoy the shade range of this line and know that these are perfect for my mom’s taste in lipstick. I also adore a classy packaging that every mom lady would be delighted to have in her bag.
Shades I tested: #05 Fawn, #49 Bright Plum, and #53 Oxblood.
Gifting tip: Wrap this gorgeous lipstick together with a matching lip liner by the brand.
Where to buy: $34 at Sephora.
Clarisonic Mia Fit Facial Cleansing Brush. In my humble opinion, every woman should have one of the Clarisonic devices in her collection. No jokes, ladies: these are life-changing! I use my Clarisonic Mia 2 for the last (I can’t even recall how many) years and I’m loving it. In fact, I immediately see the difference the device makes to my skin even if I skip just a few days of using it.
Other options to consider: Clarisonic Mia 2 Skin Cleansing System.
Gifting tip: Since you should use a Clarisonic device with a facial cleanser, consider gifting one as well!
Where to buy: $219 at Clarisonic.com where you can engrave a Clarisonic for your mom.
Eva NYC Pink Hot Brush. I know that everyone’s approach to haircare is different, but what I noticed is that many moms prefer quick, easy to maintain hairstyles. One of the tools that I recently started using to speed up my get ready time is this cute hot brush by Eva NYC. I love it so much is because it eliminates the frizz on my straight and fine hair in a matter of minutes. It also allows to “direct” my hair the right way without overheating and burning it. I’ve heard that most women’s hair are thinning with age so I assume that this tool will work for your mom’s hair too. Well, at least I know for sure that I’m sending this brush to my mom to try!
Another hairstyling devices by Eva NYC I tested: Mini Healthy Heat Ceramic Styling Iron.
Cartier Baiser Fou Fragrance. If you read my post 10 Perfumes of All Times, you know that I’m very picky when it comes to fragrances. But when I’m finally find a scent that I love, I’m so loyal that I keep repurchasing it over and over again. A few weeks ago I found a new fragrance to add to my collection. It’s a new limited edition Baiser Fou fragrance that has ultra-feminine vibes to it. It smells so luxurious and delicious that there is no way your mom does not like it!
Other Cartier fragrances I love: Cartier Vole is a classic scent by the brand which features notes of lily in it. This scent is so popular that it was named Allure Best of Beauty Award Winner and it’s constantly sold out at Sephora!
Gifting tip: If you pick the fragrance from Cartier store, it comes in a gorgeous white packaging with a red ribbon on it!
Where to buy: $95 at Sephora since it offers triple points on all fragrance purchases until May 14, 2017.
Fizz & Bubble Cupcake Bath Fizzies. This gift idea doesn’t require any explanations. I mean, how cute are these bath bombs by Fizz & Bubble? They look and smell so delicious that I almost feel bad to put them in water and destroying them! The bath bombs come in different scents, each referring to a popular cupcake flavor. In case you wonder, two of my favorite ones from the collection are Bubble Gum (because it’s pink!) and Birthday Cake (hello, sprinkles!).
Gifting tip: Match a bath cupcake with a real cupcake!

AmorePacific Time Response Vintage Wash Off Masque. If you want to spoil your mom rotten, gift her this amazing facial mask by Amore Pacific. It looks so luxurious and smells so magical—not to mention that the mask smoothes the skin in a matter of minutes! This is a second mask I’ve tried by the brand and I’m addicted! While the price tag of this product is somewhat high it’s definitely one of the best masks out there.
Other AmorePacific masks to try: Time Response Renewal Sleeping Masque.
Gifting tip: Since the whole concept of this anti-aging skincare line is about green tea why not gifting it in a set with your mom’s favorite tea?

Vera Bradley Coloring Book. If you are into unique and sentimental gifts consider these adorable coloring books by Vera Bradley. These are designed in a way that you can easily transform the pages you painted into a home decor piece. I also enjoy the fact that these cute coloring book contain not only ornaments, but also inspirational quotes!
Other Vera Bradley gift ideas: I adore Vera Bradley stationery collection so I would say that anything by VB is a great Mother’s Day gift!
